Born in Miami, Florida, the only daughter to Hungarian Jewish Immigrants, Multi-Award Winning Photographer Elizabeth E. George has called Tallahassee her home since 1980. At the age of nine, she discovered her passion for photography and began formal training in high school (processing film in the dark room). Capturing images that offer candid glimpses into the essence of her subjects is what she revels in most. Photography is her passion, but her greatest love is spending time with her family, friends, and golden lab (not necessarily in that order, nor all together).
Her photos have been selected by the COCA Art Advisory Committee to be exhibited in the 2014, 2016, 2019, 2020(Honorable Mention), and 2021(First Place) Photofest Juried Fine Art Photography Exhibition as well as selected for exhibition in the 2015, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2021, and 2022 Creative Tallahassee Juried Multi-Media Exhibition. "Highway to Heaven" and "Moon Flower" (awarded Honorable Mention) were selected for inclusion in COCA's 2015 iPhotofest Juried Exhibition. "Sizzlin" and "Honey Dripping" were selected to be a part of COCA's 2017 YUM Exhibition. In 2018, "Foxy Lady" placed FIRST- Wildlife in LeMoyne Arts Florida Environs Photography Exhibition and "Homeward Bound" received Honorable Mention at The Joe Center for the Arts Community Photography Show. Her photos have been included in the Thomasville Center for the Arts Flaunt: 2015 Rock On!
